Chicanos Por La Causa - Tucson: A promise of Opportunity

CPLC Housing Programs

Homeowner/Post-Purchase Services

Counseling:

If you own your own home and are having trouble making your payments or would like to refinance, we can help. Our certified bilingual (Spanish/English) counselors are available to help you by providing early delinquency intervention, budget counseling and lender negotiations. If you are interested in refinancing, we can help you determine what is the best loan product for your situation, and help you avoid predatory loans that can strip you of all your equity. We also provide referral services to reputable lenders and advocate for you during the refinance process.

Roof Rehab:

CPLC can provide roof repair or replacement if you are a homeowner with an annual income, that does not exceed 80 percent of the median income in Pima County AND you live within the city of Tucson.

Tenant Services/Post Occupancy:

CPLC can assist tenants in retaining housing to prevent displacement and homelessness. CPLC also provides comprehensive post-occupancy counseling in the Fair Housing Laws, money management, grievance procedures, tenant rights and responsibilities and lease agreements.

Monetary Assistance:

CPLC offers monetary assistance to homeowners and tenants who have experienced a crisis and are not able to pay their monthly mortgage or rent. Eligibility criteria varies and a housing counselor determines eligibility.

Financial Education is for anyone who would like to take control of their financial life. Seasoned instructors teach about the importance of banking relationships, how to avoid credit traps and predatory loans, different types of investments, tools to help save, and tips to avoid identity theft.
