CPLC Housing Programs

Homebuyer/Pre-Purchase Services

If owning a home is your "American Dream," we can help. CPLC is a HUD approved housing counseling agency with over 20 years of experience.

Our certified bilingual (Spanish/English) counselors are available to help you plan for and purchase your home. One-on-One counseling sessions are designed to review your current financial situation, help you come up with a plan to resolve any obstacles in your way, and inform you about the home-buying process including loan options and how to avoid predatory lending.

In addition, as part of this service, your counselor will provide advice on managing your money, using credit wisely and setting up a savings plan. We also provide referral services to local lenders, realtors and other housing-related professionals in an effort to provide you with reputable resources and advocate for you during the home-buying process

Down Payment Assistance:

CPLC offers subsidies between $5,000 and $20,000 and all grant recipients must have an annual income that does not exceed 80 percent of the area median income in Pima County. Grants are available for first time homebuyers (those who have never purchased or who have not owned within the most recent 3 years).
